This is a blog about the triumphs and tribulations of single parenthood. I am the proud mom of my beautiful son Liam. He is my only child, and sometimes, busy enough to be three children. So, this blog is intended to ask questions, let me vent if necessary, hopefully give some helpful advice if at all possible, and to let other single moms know that they are not alone out there. Thanks for reading and I hope you find it at least entertaining!

The Memory of a 3 Year Old??!!
Ok, so eluding to my previous post and the fact that I can not remember a single thing, I am really very curious now. How is it that my offspring at the age of three can remember almost everything? I am baffled. He remembers almost everything he hears, sees, and does. I mentioned to him last night as he was about to fall asleep that we would make Halloween sugar cookies today. 8:30 this morning a munchkin bursts through my bedroom door screaming "It's time to make cookies?". I was so startled that I jumped out of bed, looked at the clock and thought I was late for work. His first thought this morning was making cookies. Mine is the bathroom and the fact that I don't have any energy to get there. How is this possible? Is it because he is only three and has no other responsibilities or real issues going on that he can memorize everything and be prepared to do fun stuff at any time of day with the energy necessary to complete this task? All I know is, I need some of that energy!
A list for lists
So...I am to young to have Alzheimer's, old enough to know pretty much how the world works, but yet can't seem to remember anything! Could it be an illness? Possibly a degenerative brain disease? Not likely. I think the most possible cause may be work, school, child, new work, finances, friends, family, and the list continues. It seems I need to write down everything I need every time I leave the house. I actually had four trips to the store this week because I forgot something every time I went. Only one bill gets paid at a time. Not because I don't have the money to pay them all, but they are all due on different days and in different ways. This allows me to forget about them entirely. Homework assignments are seldom turned in on time because I can't seem to remember when they are due. Perhaps I need a list to tell me all of the things I need to make lists for. Seems that should get the ball rolling. Better yet, maybe I just need a vacation!! Then again, that would require a lot of planning which would require list making...
Hello Everyone!!
This is my first blog, so I will share a little bit about myself. I am a mom, I'm four years in now, and counting. I am the ripe old age of 30, though not nearly wise enough. I have a super happy boy named Liam. He is growing so fast, I can't believe it. I also happen to be a single mom, with lots of single mom questions and problems, like working and trying to spend as much time as possible with my partner in crime. We live in a small town in Ohio and spend most of our time just hanging out at the house with family. I am a football fan, Go Brownies!! Liam likes to watch football to, or just about any cartoons on television for that matter. I returned to school about a year ago to finish my degree in psychology, but I'm also getting even less time with Liam since I am still working. Along with this issue, I would like to use this forum for getting advise, questions answered, as well as just venting about other things if the mood hits me. I'm hoping to also help anyone that I can with any advise that I might be able to give. I am open to any and all comments.
